In the film, Tom Hanks plays Kevin Spacey and Rooney Mara plays the role of Ethel.The Montage is the best part of the movie. The montage has many actors playing different roles. The roles of Rooney Mara and Cate Blanchett seem to blend in together making this one of the best scenes in the movie. The scene starts when Tom Hanks goes to visit his best friend, Gene Wilder (Tim Roth). The two are discussing different parts of his career, including his first movie, 'Peter Gunn'.The next scene is when Cate Blanchett is playing Mr. White (Tom Cruise). The montage changes and Rooney Mara are playing Miss Hoover, the assistant to Gene Wilder. On the left of the screen is the kid who was harassed by Mrs. White and Miss Hoover. Tom Hanks turns around and asks if this was the same kid who was in the movie with Kevin Spacey. Rooney Mara says no and asks Tom Hanks how he knew.Cate Blanchett then appears as Mr. White's assistant, Betty Bloom. Rooney Mara plays Miss Ellen, who is also playing Tom Cruise. The scene ends as Miss Ellen and Miss Hoover both send their assistants out to pick up her items.When the scene finishes, Rooney Mara and Cate Blanchett are back as Miss Ellen and Mr. White. Miss Ellen says to Tom Hanks how she enjoyed working with him. Tom Hanks replies byasking what she enjoyed. Miss Ellen says that she enjoyed her and Mr. White's chemistry, the chemistry between her and Mr. White.The scene ends with the two looking good chemistry. The chemistry between Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara will continue to be one of the best scenes in the movie.This movie is about romance, life, and death. In 'The Graduate', Rooney Mara and Cate Blanchett portray the role of Miss Hoover and Mr. White respectively.
